My wish for WoW! is to give BIG in 2013!! Inspired by the series “How to Be Rich”, at Athens Church, WoW! will donate $5 from every 4-week registration fee to 1 of 3 charities designated each quarter. (You get to choose which one!) We’re excited about the opportunity to present some authentically impactful checks!!
Here are the 3 charities we have chosen for the 3rd quarter of 2013:
- AIRS [Athens Inclusive Recreation and Sports] (AIRS has a primary focus of building a strong foundation around fun for EVERYONE through sports and recreation activities. They make the impossible possible! Bishop Park WoW! girl, Cynthea Wilson, is on the board for this fantastic organization. For more info visit www.airs-ga.org and check out the attached flyer.)
- PROJECT SAFE (Project Safe is a 501c3 non profit organization working to end domestic violence through prevention and educational programs, crisis intervention, ongoing supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and their children, and advocacy/ systems change work in our community. For more info visit www.project-safe.org.)
- OPEN HAND (Open Hand helps people prevent or better manage chronic disease through Comprehensive Nutrition Care™, which combines home-delivered meals and nutrition education as a means to reinforce the connection between informed food choices and improved quality of life. Open Hand seeks to eliminate disability and untimely death due to nutrition-sensitive chronic disease. WoW!’s partner is good nutrition, Good Measure Meals, donates 100% profits to Open Hand. In addition to the original Atlanta service area, Open Hands serves Athens and many in our area are benefitting from their nutrition care.
