Spaghetti&Meatballs

  • 1 1.25lb Jennie-O 99% ground turkey breast
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ c dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ c water
  • ½ c onion, finely chopped (I bought the pre-chopped, but I’ve used the frozen before)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ c fresh parsley, minced (I didn’t have any today so I left it out and it still tasted good!)
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 jar Classico Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 box Thin Whole Wheat Ronzoni Spaghetti

Mix all meatball ingredients in a bowl and make 24 med size meat balls.  Place on a baking pan lined with tin foil and spray with non-stick spray.  Broil for 10 min.  Turn over and broil for another 8-10 min.

Add ½ cup Ronzoni whole wheat spaghetti to container.  (Yes, ½ cup & try not to pack it!!).  Top with 3 meat balls and ½ c spaghetti sauce.  (I like Classico Basil & Tomato)

That’s 1 serving!!  Enjoy.

Turkey Chili

1 cup = 4 WW points.

  • 1 packet McCormick Chili Seasoning Mix (30% less sodium)
  • 1 1.25 lb Jennie-O 99 % ground turkey breast
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can light red kidney beans (undrained)
  • 1 can garbonzo beans (chick peas)
  • 1 can black beans (try to get low sodium option)

Brown meat in large skillet.  Add everything else.  Stir until hot.  Enjoy.

Scoop 1 cup servings into containers for future meals.*  The easier you make it on yourself to grab healthy options, the easier it will be to make healthy choices when you’re pressed for time.

Side note – Wendy’s chili is a great fast food option.  At  4 WW point ( 220 cal) for the small & 6 WW points (330 cal) for the Large – you’re good to go!!!  1 packet of crackers = .5 points or 25 calories.  Heat it up with the hot chili sauce as hot as you like – 0 pts!

I just made 2 batches of this yummy dish to stock pile in my freezer.  It’s a quick, filling & delicious 4 point WW meal.

*2 packages of Rubbermaid Take Alongs (5 small deep square 2.1 cup containers)
